Perfectly charming when trees sport spring greenery but arguably more popular come first snow, Whitefish, a small northern city, is a winter wonderland known for its accessible slopes and proximity to Glacier National Park.
The Sunshine, at 56' long, is a boat that combines space with affordability. A penthouse on the second level and a stateroom on the first have double beds and a bunk room holds two single beds. A sofa and dinette pull out into doubles. Altogether, ten can sleep easily in the Sunshine.
They can do more than sleep, of course. Even in the chillier May or October nights, a furnace keeps the houseboat warm as it cruises. Nor is the houseboat stifling in mid-summer. A leisurely dinner cooked on the houseboat's range can be served inside, or outside, with the barbecue. A television and DVD lets you and your party gather on the couch and watch whatever you like.
A slide up top makes for some great water fun - the quick and very wet kind of water fun. When you're ready to just take in the sun, there's a suntan area for just that purpose.
