Swan Lake

Swan Lake offers good fishing year round. This large lake is best known for consistent, good trolling for Kokanee Salmon all summer long. But in the springtime, northern pike fans rave about the good fishing to be had on the south bay. Yellow perch can be caught off the shore. Autumn brings trout fishing and Swan Lake is the only place where anglers may still keep one bull trout per day.

Swan Lake is easy to find and access. There is a small village on the south end of the lake and offers gas, groceries, and restaurants. There is a public boat ramp and picnic area on the southeast shore and a large campground just across the highway. Boaters are advised to be cautious of several very shallow areas that jut out to the middle of the lake.
