Whitefish - Skiing / Snowboarding

Motel 6 Montana

During the winter months, quaint Whitefish morphs into a bustling ski town destination. The Big Mountain Resort, training home to the US National Telemark Team and former haunt of Olympian Tommy Moe, looms to the north above town, and offers something for every type of skier. From laid back cruisers to steep bowls and tight trees, this is a great place to enjoy skiing & snowboarding. Backcountry touring access from the Big Mountain into the expansive Whitefish Range is exceptional. Views of Glacier National Park from the Big Mountain are breathtaking during any season but are especially memorable while the mountains are cloaked in winter white. For the more advanced backcountry enthusiast there are a multitude of winter touring options in the surrounding ranges of Flathead Valley and even up into Glacier National Park. Guide services for winter tours of GNP and other ranges are available.
