One of only a handful of rivers commercially rafted within gorgeous Olympic National Park, the stunning Elwaha River drains the eastern ridge of majestic Mt. Olympus. Flowing through landscapes reminiscent of those described in fairytales. The Elwaha, meaning Elk in native tongue, is aptly named as it flows through the winter home to large numbers of Roosevelt Elk.
The clear waters of the Elwaha tumble through thick Pacific Northwest rainforest of on their way to the confluence with the Pacific Ocean. Beginner level rapids writhe through this stretch, teeming with bouncy waves and splashy features, offering excitement and excellent flora and fauna viewing opportunity.
