Keyser Creek Trail follows east Canyon Creek and Keyser Creek up to the Flat Tops. The canyon is narrow; steep sided with cliffs and forested with spruce/fir and aspen. The trail is also narrow, and rough.
The scenery is outstanding, fishing is available in the creek, and wildlife-watching opportunities are excellent. Use is limited to hiking.
It is approximately 3 miles to the National Forest boundary, then the trail continues for about 2 miles to Blue Lake and 2 miles further until it connects with Transfer Trail in the Monument Lake area, near Blue Lake. Elevation ranges from 6,840 to 10,400 feet.
The Forest Service Reference number for this trail is FS 1884. The surface of the trail is natural throughout - no gravel or pavement.

7 miles west of Glenwood Springs via I-70 to Canyon Creek Road about 3 miles north to trailhead. Access across private land on narrow easement first half mile, please stay on trail. Parking limited.
