Description

This campground is located adjacent to 90-mile-long Lake Koocanusa. It is an undiscovered treasure on the west side of the lake; opposite State Highway 37, and 7 miles north of Libby Dam. A short trail connects the campground to the swimming and boating area.

90-mile-long Lake Koocanusa (KOOtenai/CANada/USA--coo/can/oosa), fishing access, high- and low-water boat ramps, swimming beach (no lifeguard), nature trail, 2 group sites with covered picnic tables (electrical hookups available; picnickers supply own generator), sinks, large fireplaces, flush/vault toilets, covered kitchen, ample parking, horseshoe pits, softball field, hiking loop trail.

Emergency medical/dental/optical and full services are available in Libby, 25 miles southwest.

From Libby, travel 15 miles northeast on State Highway 37. Turn west on Forest Development Road 228 and follow for 10 miles to the site.
