Summit Campground is pack it in, pack it out and straddles the Continental Divide in the shadow of Summit Mountain. It is composed of two unnamed loops among conifers with abundant wild flowers scattered throughout the understory. The St. Mary Glacier National Park entrance is 42 miles east on US Route 2, while the West Glacier entrance is 46 miles in the other direction. The campground is adjacent to Memorial Square which celebrates Theodore Roosevelt (with a miniature Washington Monument) and the Blackfeet people. Summit Campground is also adjacent to Marias Pass Historic Site.
