Big Mountain Ski Resort
  Located just 60 miles south of the Canadian border, Big Mountain caters to skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels. Famous for its snow ghosts, uncrowded slopes, abundant snowfall and unsurpassed views, Big Mountain is among the 10 largest ski resorts in the U.S. offering over 3,000 skiable acres, 85 marked runs and eleven lifts.
     
Bigfork Population: 1,500
  Bigfork is a renaissance town, an eclectic mixture of old and new, and home to a variety of art, music and theatre. Located on the Northeast shore of Flathead Lake, Bigfork has a western style downtown area that is jam packed with galleries, excellent restaurants and unique taverns.
     
Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex
  The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex is a landmark wilderness in the United States. Situated along the continental divide in the northwest corner of Montana, the 950,000 acre complex boasts over 1800 miles of maintained trails.
     
Flathead Lake
  Flathead Lake is one of the most dramatically framed bodies of water imaginable. Its basin carved by glaciers over 10,000 years ago, Flathead Lake is over 28 miles long and five miles wide, and holds the title of the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River.
     
Kalispell Population: 16,000
  Kalispell is the biggest town in the Flathead Valley and is what most of the local population considers 'town'. A number of music and art festivals occur during the summer months in Kalispell, and the town is also the site of the annual Northwest Montana Fair.
     
Whitefish Population: 5,500
  Whitefish is the quintessential mountain town, sitting on the shores of pristine Whitefish Lake and at the southern toe of the Whitefish Mountain Range. The rolling farmlands of Flathead Valley, framed by mountain ranges on all sides, give way to Whitefish's quaint tree lined streets with personable homes and an 'old west style' downtown area complete with facaded storefronts.
